Once you’ve chosen and purchased your StudioPress theme, be sure to the download is saved in an easy to find location on your computer. You’ll want to make sure you compress (or zip) the Genesis and Theme files before trying to install them on your WordPress website.
Also, install the Genesis zip file first, then your theme file – this will ensure everything works properly for you. When learning how to install a StudioPress theme on WordPress, these two steps are the most important.
Once installed, login in to StudioPress (an account was created for you when you purchased the theme) and click on “My StudioPress” at the top. This will lead you to the area with the Theme Setup links. Simply follow along with their instructions to setup your website to look like the theme demo. Feel free to change images and wording to fit your unique style and needs.
